Michael Jackson - The way you make me feel

   "Center stage" to amerykański film fabularny zakwalifikowany jako dramat muzyczny. Jego polski tytuł brzmi: "Światła sceny". Produkcja została wyreżyserowana przez Nicholas'a Hytner'a w 2000 roku. Przyznam się, że nigdy wcześniej nie widziałam tego filmu, aż pod którymś z postów w komentarzach to właśnie Wy skłoniliście mnie do jego obejrzenia. Fabuła osadzona jest w nowojorskiej szkole baletowej i to właśnie tam młodzi tancerze zmagają się z trudem treningów, diet, kontuzji, rywalizacji… Pragną bowiem zrealizować swoje marzenia i trafić na deski najlepszych teatrów w kraju! Często dla kariery baletowej muszą poświęcić swoje miłości, przyjaźnie czy nawet zdrowie… Główne role w filmie zagrały: Amanda Schull oraz Zoe Saldana. Cztery z najważniejszych postaci zostały zagrane przez profesjonalnych tancerzy, a do wielu scen tanecznych użyto dublerów. Produkcja otrzymała raczej kiepskie komentarze i częściej była krytykowana niż chwalona. Moim zdaniem jest to kolejny film o tańcu, zasadniczo niczym nieróżniący się od pozostałych. Jednak to, co przypadło mi do gustu to duża ilość tańca na całkiem przystępnym poziomie zaprezentowana w filmie. Może fabuła czy muzyka nie powalają na kolana, za to sam taniec jest niczego sobie! :))

   "Center Stage" is an american teen drama film. It as directed by Nicholas Hytner in 2000. I have to admit that I have never seen this movie before until you recommended it to me in the comments underneath one of my previous posts. The plot is about a group of yound and talented dancers who came to the one of the american ballet academies to make their dreams come true. They have to face everyday troubles in order to become the best ballet dancers in the USA. Sometimes they have to sacrify their loves, friendships and even health… The main roles were played by: Amanda Schull and Zoe Saldana. Of the main characters who are dancers, four are professional ballet dancers. Body doubles were used for many of the major dance sequences. The comments about the movie were rather negative and the film was more often critisized than recommeded. For me it is another dance movie that is not much different from the others. But on the other hand I feel that the dancing presented in the plot is rather of a high quality. Although the plot and the music are meybe not the best and the most interesting, the dancing on its own is good! :))
