Prasa taneczna - rzadko spotykana i trudno dostępna. A przecież jest nas tylu - tancerzy, szczególnie tych towarzyskich, chętnych do czytania, zdobywania bieżących informacji i newsów ze świata tańca. Na rynku polskim szczególnie ciężko o jakiekolwiek pismo taneczne, regularnie ukazujące się w sprzedaży. Ja znalazłam rozwiązanie tego problemu i od początku 2011 roku prenumeruję "Dance News'a". W nagłówku czytamy: Dance News, newsy międzynarodowe i z Wielkiej Brytanii dla świata, założony w 1938, zarejestrowany jako gazeta, GBP 2.00 tygodniowo (około 10zł), numer edycji oraz data. A w rzeczywistości to wychodzący raz na tydzień przegląd bieżących wydarzeń tanecznych, począwszy od turniejów, rankingów, imprez, kończąc na szkoleniach, campach i kongresach. Ponadto wzbogacony o profesjonalne zdjęcia, reklamy firm tanecznych i przyszłych turniejów oraz całą kartkę przydatnych kontaktów i potrzebnych adresów. Z Dance Newsa możemy też dowiedzieć się o nowych zestawieniach tanecznych, o rozpadach, końcach kariery. Co najważniejsze znajdziemy tu wywiady z osobistościami tanecznymi, ich opinie na temat każdej pary, oceny z rozegranych zawodów. Do dziś pamiętam to przyjemne uczucie i podekscytowanie kiedy wraz z partnerem znaleźliśmy pierwszą wzmiankę o nas... :)) Więcej informacji na stronie internetowej www.dance-news.co.uk (tutaj też możecie zgłosić się na UK'a i International'a oraz zaprenumerować gazetę).
Dancing press - difficult to find, almost impossible to buy. But there are so many of us - ballroom dancers, willing to read about dancing news and life. In Poland it is even harder to find something interesting and to have the opportunity to buy it on regular basis. I found the solution of this problem and since January 2011 I have started to subscribe "Dance News". We can read in the headline: Dance News, United Kingdom and International News to the World, established 1938, registered as a Newspaper, GBP 2.00 Weekly, number of the edition and date. In the reality it is a weekly review of current dancing events, starting from competitions, rankings, parties and ending on camps and congresses. What is more, we can find there professional pictures, advertisement of dancing brands and companies or future events and a very useful list of necessary contacts and helpful addresses. In Dance News we can read also about new partnerships, splits and retirements. What's more important, it includes interviews with dancing celebrities, their opinions on every couple and marks from the past comps.
